Overview

The Altruist Camp is the headquarters of the Altruist Cult, a hostile survivalist sect hidden in the Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness in northern Blaine County. It is one of Grand Theft Auto V’s most memorable isolated locations, not because it hosts a conventional mission chain, but because it connects several apparently unrelated random events to a secret Trevor-only activity.

For most of the story, the camp is a fortified compound occupied by Altruists. Trevor Philips can bring certain random-event victims there instead of helping them reach their normal destinations. After four victims have been delivered, the cult turns on Trevor and attempts to sacrifice him. The resulting shootout opens the camp for exploration and provides a large cash reward, weapons, armour and health items.
