Overview

Hawick is a mixed commercial and residential neighbourhood in Vinewood, Los Santos. It occupies a busy position between the western shopping districts, central Los Santos and East Vinewood. Unlike the affluent streets of Rockford Hills, Hawick is less about luxury property and more about ordinary shopping, low-rise housing, offices, colourful independent businesses and the large Vinewood Plaza retail complex.

The district is particularly useful to players because it combines several practical services within a compact area. It contains an accessible Ammu-Nation, clothing and food businesses, a pharmacy and a number of named but non-enterable shops. It is also the setting for the Hawick portion of Eye in the Sky, one of the more distinctive surveillance missions in the main story.

Hawick is easy to mistake for a smaller area centred only on Hawick Avenue. That would understate its extent. The district includes the Vinewood Plaza area, the Badger Building and Galileo House office zone, residential streets to the north, and the skate park above Hawaiian Snow. It reaches east towards East Vinewood and south towards Alta, while neighbouring streets often continue beyond the district boundary.
