Overview

Morningwood is an affluent, commercially focused neighbourhood in western Los Santos. It is best understood as a long north-south strip between the Del Perro and Rockford Hills districts, rather than as only the blocks around Morningwood Boulevard. The area combines luxury retail, restaurants, cafés, cinemas, apartments, offices, medical and educational buildings, and a particularly dense collection of fictional shopfronts.

Its closest real-world counterpart is Westwood in Los Angeles. The name is also one of Rockstar’s more direct adult jokes, referring to “morning wood”, while the streetscape borrows from several parts of west Los Angeles rather than reproducing one location exactly.
