Overview
Mount Chiliad is the highest and most recognisable natural landmark in southern San Andreas. It occupies the northern part of Blaine County, rising between Paleto Bay and the Alamo Sea, with Route 1 and the Procopio Promenade area at its northern foot. The mountain is not simply a scenic backdrop. It contains a working aerial tramway, hiking and off-road routes, a summit observation area, parachuting content, a major Strangers & Freaks mission, collectible placements and one of GTA V’s most famous secrets.
Its importance comes from the way several systems meet here. A player can visit Mount Chiliad as a tourist, climb it by trail, ride to the top by tram, launch a parachute jump, investigate the mural, complete a late-game Franklin activity or return after 100 per cent completion to witness the summit UFO. Most of those elements are separate pieces of content rather than stages in one large hidden mission.
